Chalet Hibou had been clad throughout in pine, which over time had become honey-coloured. It absorbed the light coming through the wonderful picture windows, creating dark and drab interiors.

Another dark and uninviting room filled with wood. Once it was painted in a fresh pale blue colour, the incoming light from the roof windows was reflected, creating a relaxing and spacious pool and spa area.

A wasted mezzanine space above the living room and kitchen became a TV and games room which was acoustically sealed so as not to intrude into the main room.

Junk room to bunk room. A large room being used as storage, was repurposed into a family bunk room with ensuite bathroom. The lower bunks are able to be moved together to create a double bed, creating a truly flexible sleeping space.

A dreary office was transformed into a luxurious master suite comprising large bedroom, bathroom and dressing room.
